Introducing our apartments: El Faro de Pepa
We know that Santiago de Compostela is a city that perfectly combines many of the aspects that define Galicia, but if there is something lacking, it is the magnificent and diverse coastline that it has. Therefore, with this new project, from Como en Casa we want to bring the sea closer to the capital. Ready to swim to Pepa´s Lighthouse?
We go to the main heart of Santiago de Compostela, in the Plaza de Galicia, the enclave between the old town and the new area of the city. There, in a building of 1930 that preserves its original facade, is El Faro de Pepa, a perfect place to enjoy your vacation in Compostela.
All in all, it is very difficult to decide why to stand out from these wonderful tourist apartments, since they are full of things that will make your stay unforgettable. The wonderful balconies that complete each tourist apartment, the charming terraces on the top floor, which offer wonderful views of the city, or the large mural that decorates one of the inner courtyards, are some of the elements that make each corner of the building unique.
But, as we anticipate the eating of this post, how does the sea near the Galician capital this endearing building?
-The amazing mural of the patio and the entrance. In one of the inner courtyards, there is a majestic mural of 17 meters high, work of Miguel Peralta, with elements of the underwater background, like the creatures that inhabit it or sunken ships, reminiscent of exciting adventures of sailors and embarked . At the entrance to the building, you will be greeted by another impressive mural that will also leave you with your mouth open when you arrive.
-The details on the floors. In each of the tourist apartments, in addition to always find some detail in blue tones, thus making a nod to the color of the sea, we also find certain marine motifs in things as simple as a cloth, very attentive, to see what you find!
-The icing on the cake: A story to discover on each floor! Although all are linked by a coastal evocation and a warm and functional style, each tourist apartment has its own character, and this is reflected in its name. Taking a tour of the most relevant titles of novels with the sea as protagonist, we discover each of the name of these unique 10 tourist apartments: Treasure Island, Morgan's Treasure, Black Corsair, The Mirror of the Sea, Robinson Crusoe, Twenty thousand Leagues of travel Underwater, The old man and The sea, Moby Dick, The life of Pi and The Beach. In addition, for lovers of reading, in each of the apartments, you can read the book that gives it its name, you will want to visit them all!
